ICE Lilith:
Lilith is Lykourgo’s fictional persona. She is an albino female painter and occultist who believes in a weird conspiracy theory that wants albinos to be alien vampires. All the works are produced by Porfyris. The paintings feature “dark and evil” albino creatures, which are inspired from Lykourgo’s research on how albinos are depicted in occidental history and vampiric myths.
The project is commenting on the stereotypical depiction of albinos as dark evil creatures in the popular culture, including movies, comics, and fictional novels, as well as the fetishization of the albino whiteness through media and fashion campaigns as an alien form of beauty.
