CTHULIAN PROPHECIES:
Cthulian Prophecies is a queer conspiracy theory. The project started in December 2016 as an answer to the alt right conspiracy theories and propaganda. Moreover, Cthulian Prophecies is a direct response to the racist, sexist and homophobic videos of the British vlogger Paul Joseph Watson.
The project is consisted of 3 paintings and one video. The paintings are illustrating dystopic utopias for a future with no future. Lykourgos is adopting Jack Halberstam’s theory of forgetfulness and stupidity in order to misinterpret “big” masculine narratives. Lykourgos is manipulating his albino / impaired visioned identity and through web-like videos is selfpresented as a prophet by showing the paintings as prophecies.
