From Hell... ...to Heaven:
In this diptych sound poem Lykourgos is rethinking the concepts of Heaven and Hell through a musical soundscape. The work negotiates the metaphysical notions of utopia/dystopia and translates them in the real world.
In From Hell…, in this track the artist is focusing on the struggle of our existence, loneliness and discrimination that we face in our everyday life (hell) and our demand for a better hell for all.
The second part is embracing our fight for survival and change.
In …To Heaven Lykourgos is stressing the need for a revolutionary action no matter if we win or fail. “We live only once and even if we fail, we tried our best to change our future.”
The work has been bought by Homografiska Museum in Sweden.
