Short Bio:
I am a visual artist and disability/queer activist from Athens Greece (b.1988 Athens). I am currently living and working between Oslo and Athens. I am holding a BA from Athens School of Fine Arts and an MFA from Kunstakademiet at KHiO.

My work has been exhibited at the 6th Athens Biennale, Akershus Kunstsenter in Lillestrøm, Norway, Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol, UK, the Freud Museum in London, Fylkingen in Stockholm, Sweden, and during the opening of the Norwegian National Gallery. In 2022, I completed my four-year long-term research project The Hyper Whites at BO Gallery in Oslo, Norway. In 2024, I collaborated with choreographer Roza Moshtaghi to create a sound and dance performance titled Songs of Chaos. The performance was sold out in Oslo across all four days, and in Trondheim for both showings. The project is scheduled to tour across Norway in 2026.
Statement:
My artistic practice is engaged in the production of new mythologies and legends to replace conservative ones that have become obsolete. My stories reinterpret mainstream narratives, those that typically glorify the victories of heroes, by transforming them into alternative fictions that celebrate the failures of the so-called losers. All of my works include a strong oral or text-based storytelling element, and when objects are involved, they serve as evidence of the fiction. This allows me to create intimate spaces for the audience and introduce them to unintimate narratives. My aim is to subvert the ableist stereotype of the “thriving man.”
In my recent work, I have been moving away from the sighted approach of “seeing” art, developing instead a more inclusive form of worldbuilding that welcomes blind or low-vision audiences without excluding others. More specifically, my soundscapes shape landscapes and spaces, while text functions to visualize sound (please see PDF and links for reference).
My theoretical grounding is rooted in queer and disability theory, drawing from thinkers such as Jack Halberstam, Margrit Shildrick, Rod Michalko, and Rosemarie Garland-Thomson. Artistically, I am influenced by the submissive affirmation performances and the NSK collective. Another vital source of inspiration is science fiction and magical realism literature, with writers such as Octavia Butler, Nnedi Okorafor, Juan Rulfo, and Toni Morrison shaping my imagination.
